Most organizations provide their staff with job specific training yet little, if any, effective conflict management training. This is surprising considering that most professions involve considerable human interaction on a variety of issues. When conflicts arise, frontline staff and managers alike are forced to rely upon ‘hit and miss’ strategies when confronted by difficult customers or coworkers.
Verbal Judo is a tactical communications course that stresses the importance of the professional mindset (never lose your temper), as opposed to the personal mindset (using words that rise readily to your lips). Verbal Judo teaches the skills necessary to become an effective communicator - enabling students to “say it right the first time.” Verbal Judo can greatly improve the quality of your life both professionally and personally.
The course is divided into 3 parts; Professionalism, Communication and Tactics
Law Enforcement Training
“Verbal Judo is an essential skill set for the working street cop. It completes the balanced package of necessary survival skills for officers who are required to have a continuum of expertise in resolving confrontational situations. Officers without these skills are as deficient in their overall survival training as any officer that does not know how to use their weapon appropriately.”
