Verbal Judo for Peace Officers

Developed 25 years ago, Verbal Judo is more relevant than ever before.  Today, people tend to challenge Peace Officers and demand answers before complying.  Unless Officer Safety is threatened, people have a right to ask and Officers have an obligation to tell them.  Add technology to the equation and everything a Peace Officer says or does will end up on the internet or broadcast in the media before they return home from their shift. "Speak and act on Friday night the way you want it shown to you via hidden camera on Monday morning."

Peace Officers must be proficient at generating voluntary compliance from even the most difficult persons.  Futhermore, should words fail, Peace Officers most be able to demonstratively prove that no voluntary compliance was forthcoming and other means were necessary.

Verbal Judo for Contact Professionals

Police do not have exclusive jurisdiction when it comes to dealing with difficult people/situations.  Healthcare, Education, government and other Contact Professionals all interact with people under stressful conditions.  Situations involving abuse, both physical and verbal are on the rise.  Effective conflict management training is more essential today than ever before.

We make a point to bring our audiences into the presentation by tailoring the delivery to their specific needs.  We also include universal applications to ensure ‘buy in’ by demonstrating how the tactics can be applied to both spouses and children!
